Tango multiple, painting and dancing

1610aliotangopittura

Guillermo Alio in his atelier in La Boca, the Buenos Aires neighborhood best known for being the gate way for immigrants in Argentina. He holds a painting made while is dancing tango. Guillermo and his partner dip their hands and feet in paint and dance the tango on a piece of fabric, creating a painting as they dance tango. Of Spanish and Syrian origins, Guillermo, born in Tucuman, is also an interesting example of the amazing creativity of the city. He is a great and generous guy. Two happy kids at school. Today, 8th of April, is the Roma international day. The Roma contribution to European and world culture (music, for instance) is disproportionately large and barely known in comparison to their social position (unfortunately well diffused by the media…). Vogosca, Bosnia and Herzegovina, October 2012. © Luca Bonacini. Kids having fun: Universal Children’s Day

Kids having funKids from the Huampis indian community of Villa Gonçalo having fun. Today, the 20th of november, marks the day on which the United Nations adopted in 1989 the Convention on the Rights of the Child. The four core principles of the Convention are non-discrimination; devotion to the best interests of the child; the right to life, survival and development; and respect for the views of the child. Surprisingly, United States is one of only three countries in the world which have not ratified the Convention. Villa Gonçalo, Peru, April 2008 © Luca Bonacini.
