On June 14th 1992, in Pioneer Street (Pionirska Ulica) in Visegrad, around 70 Bosniak civilians, (women, children and elderly) were locked by paramilitary serbian troops and burnt alive in a house in Visegrad. 59 were killed, at least, only 8 survived. Milan Lukic (life imprisonment) and Sredoje Lukic (27 years), were convicted for their crimes. Every year, relatives and survivors come to Visegrad for a ceremony that keeps the memory of the massacre organised by the NGO Women victims of war.
