Big celebration in Sarajevo: national football team goes to Brazil

Almost 10.000 of people joyfully invaded streets and squares of Sarajevo to celebrate, cheerfully and all night long, the Bosnia-Herzegovina qualification to the next football world cup in Brazil. For many Bosnians, the historic success represent a rare cause for celebration in a daily life marked by dramatic unemployment rate (almost 50%) and ethnic divisions.

The ironic notice “Skupljam pare za Brazil” (I collect money to go to Brazil) showed by a group of football fans, reminds us the local economic reality as well as the amazing ability of Bosnian to face hard life with good humour.
